The Director-General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that over one million children in the strip suffer from psychological trauma and that the Israeli regime kills a Palestinian child every 40 minutes.
The Director-General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Munir Al-Barash, said Israeli occupiers kill a child in Gaza every 40 minutes. He added that 28 children die daily due to Israeli bombings.
Al-Barash stated that more than one million children in Gaza suffer from psychological damage, with 50 percent diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
He also emphasized that hospital bed occupancy rates have reached 300 percent-the highest ever recorded-highlighting the severe health and humanitarian crisis in the strip.
This report comes as the United nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) revealed that over the past five months, more than 540 children have been killed monthly in Gaza.
