According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency and Sky news,U.S. President Donald Trump saeid the country might offer aerial support to Kyiv as part of a peace deal between Ukraine and Russia.
Trump, who hosted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and several European leaders at the White House on Friday, said after the meeting, “When it comes to security, europeans are ready to send ground forces. We are willing to help them, especially possibly through aerial means.”
The U.S. president did not provide further details on this matter. However, White House spokesperson Caroline Lewitt clarified that American aerial support is “an option and a possibility.” She added that Trump made it clear no U.S. ground troops would be sent to Ukraine but emphasized that America can assist with coordination and potentially offer other security guarantees.
Aerial aid could take various forms, including missile defense systems or fighter jets enforcing a no-fly zone; however, the precise role the U.S. would play under any proposed peace agreement remains unclear.
