7.5-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes South America

A 7.5-magnitude earthquake struck the ​Drake Passage between South America and Antarctica, prompting a tsunami warning for the region.

The quake occurred at a depth of 36 kilometers. Scientists are currently assessing the risk of a tsunami, especially along the Chilean coast.
