Barzani Responds to Intense Clashes in Sulaymaniyah

The ‌Prime Minister of‌ iraq’s Kurdistan Region responded‌ to the⁣ developments in sulaymaniyah.

According to the english​ section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and the Iraqi ⁣news agency WAAR, Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of Iraq’s ⁣Kurdistan Region, addressed the recent events in Sulaymaniyah.

On Friday, he stressed that the ⁢clashes in Sulaymaniyah pose a threat to the security of the ⁤Kurdistan⁣ Region and must be stopped immediately.

Barzani stated: ‍”The tensions and clashes in Sulaymaniyah target the security and stability of Iraq’s‍ Kurdistan ‌Region. Everyone​ should understand this and halt these⁤ conflicts at once to prevent ‌young people from becoming victims.”

The⁣ Prime Minister emphasized that any problems​ or disputes must be resolved through ⁣legal channels.

He added that he⁢ will engage​ with⁢ all parties to end these tensions and prevent further bloodshed⁣ and violence.

French news agency AFP ‌reported ‌that ‌during the clashes in Sulaymaniyah- which led ‌to the arrest of​ Lahur Sheikh Jangi, head of⁤ the ⁣”People’s Front” party and a prominent figure in ⁣Iraq’s Kurdistan⁤ Region-three police ‍officers⁢ were killed and at least nineteen people⁢ detained.

kurdistan Democratic Union party-affiliated media announced early on Friday morning ⁢that lahur Sheikh ‍Jangi ​and his brother had been arrested in Sulaymaniyah city.

Prior to his arrest, Lahur Sheikh Jangi called for an uprising against ‌the Kurdistan Democratic Union‌ Party (KDP).

Al Arabiya television cited a security source stating that following the arrests of Lahur Sheikh Jangi and his brother, hostilities subsided in Sulaymaniyah.
