According to the English section of webangah News Agency,quoting Mehr News Agency and Sputnik,thousands protesting the ongoing war against Gaza gathered in Tel Aviv demanding an end to the conflict.
Tel Aviv, the center of the Israeli regime and other occupied Palestinian territories, has recently witnessed unprecedented demonstrations by Israelis against Prime Minister Benjamin NetanyahuS cabinet policies and its recent decision to launch military operations aimed at occupying Gaza.
In recent days, protesters have gathered outside homes of officials and ministers in Netanyahu’s cabinet, including Defence Minister Israel Katz and Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, calling for the release of Israeli prisoners held in Gaza.
Representatives of families with Israeli captives in Gaza say their goal is to pressure Netanyahu’s cabinet into reaching a prisoner exchange agreement with Hamas.
The Israeli regime launched its war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, targeting two main objectives: dismantling Hamas and recovering Israelis held captive there. However, it failed to achieve thes goals and was forced to pursue a prisoner exchange agreement with Hamas.
On January 19, 2025, under an agreement between Hamas and Israel, a ceasefire was implemented in Gaza during which some prisoners were exchanged. However, Israel refused to enter second-phase ceasefire negotiations and resumed military incursions into Gaza at dawn on March 18, 2025-violating ceasefire terms.
