An Iraqi security source reports an increase in Popular Mobilization Forces near the Saudi border.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al-Maaloma, a security source in Al-Anbar province announced that checkpoints operated by Popular Mobilization Forces have increased near the Arar border crossing in western Al-Anbar.
The source added that thes checkpoints were established following intelligence regarding criminal elements moving close to the Saudi borders.
He stated that the number of Iraqi forces manning checkpoints near the Syrian border has also risen to prevent terrorist infiltration into Iraqi territory.
The source emphasized that these measures aim to combat ISIS movements in desert areas.
