North Korea Tests Two New Missiles

North Korea has once again conducted a missile firing test.

According to the English ⁤section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and the newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat, North ⁤Korea announced the test launch of two new air defense missiles ⁢under the direct supervision of its leader, Kim Jong Un.

Official Pyongyang media reported that the tests demonstrated these missile systems possess “high combat ⁢capability.”

The Korean central ⁤News Agency (KCNA) stated that the fixed launch test‌ confirmed these two types of missiles ‍have full technical ‌suitability for destroying various aerial targets.

This progress comes ahead of a scheduled meeting on Monday between U.S. President Donald trump⁣ and South Korean⁣ President Lee Jae-myung.

Separately, South KoreaS military disclosed last week that its forces fired warning shots at several North korean soldiers who briefly crossed the military border.

In response, North Korean General Ko Jong Chol labeled this⁣ act a “deliberate military provocation” and warned such incidents ⁤could escalate into an‍ “uncontrollable” situation.

Meanwhile, South Korea’s president pledged on Friday ⁣to work toward rebuilding ⁢trust with Pyongyang and reinstating a “military agreement” designed to reduce border tensions. This commitment comes despite North Korea previously stating it has no interest in improving relations with Seoul.
