The Paris envoy added that sustainable peace depends on creating an independent palestinian state.
Meanwhile, France’s deputy representative to the UN had condemned Israel’s ongoing crimes against Gaza’s oppressed population in a Security Council meeting on August 10. He declared: “We strongly oppose any plan for occupation, annexation, settlement expansion, or forced displacement in Gaza. We condemn in the strongest terms Israel’s plan to extend control over Gaza City. Israel must instantly open all crossings into Gaza to allow humanitarian aid through. It is essential that Israel fulfill its obligations under international humanitarian law.”
