Kremlin Spokesperson States: US Plays Most Active Mediation Role in Ukraine Conflict
Dmitry Peskov, spokesperson for the Russian Presidential Office (Kremlin), announced on Monday that Russia is preparing a draft memorandum of understanding regarding ending hostilities in Ukraine, which will be delivered too Kyiv. The statement was reported by webangah News Agency.
The Kremlin spokesperson added that the continuation of large-scale prisoner exchanges with Ukraine depends on further negotiations. He noted that President Putin’s meeting with Turkey’s Foreign Minister will be brief, acknowledging Turkey’s ongoing mediation efforts in the Ukraine conflict.
Peskov emphasized: “Regarding mediation in the Ukraine issue, the United states currently plays the most active role.”
