Ahmadian Urges Americans to Act in Good Faith for Progress in Negotiations

Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary states American sincerity in fulfilling promises is a prerequisite for progress in negotiations.

According to the english section of webangah⁣ News Agency,​ Ali⁤ Akbar Ahmadian, Secretary​ of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, told Sputnik News Agency⁢ on the sidelines of the International Meeting of High-Ranking Security Representatives in Moscow that progress in Iran-U.S. negotiations is possible only if​ Americans demonstrate ⁢seriousness in their intentions, honour their commitments, and refrain from constantly changing positions.

The fifth round of indirect talks between Iran and the U.S.took⁢ place on may ⁤23 in Rome with Omani mediation.

The Iranian delegation, headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Seyed​ Abbas‌ Araghchi alongside Majid Takht Ravanchi, Kazem Gharibabadi, and esmaeil Baghaei Hamaneh, met with the American team⁤ led by Washington’s⁢ senior negotiator​ Steve Wittkopf. The‌ negotiations were held at the Residence⁢ of Oman’s Ambassador to Rome – highlighting Muscat’s pivotal role in facilitating this process.
