Zelensky’s Aides Travel to U.S. to Secure Trump Administration Support

Senior Ukrainian officials visit Washington to secure Trump ‌administration support.

According to webangah News Agency, senior Ukrainian officials traveled to Washington on Tuesday to seek U.S. backing against Russia, as Kyiv demonstrated its capacity to continue ⁢the war by destroying a bridge that had become a symbol⁢ of Kremlin claims over Ukrainian territory.

The‌ delegation included Andriy ⁣Yermak, head of the Ukrainian‌ President’s Office, and Yulia Svyrydenko, Deputy Prime Minister.

Ukraine accuses ⁤Moscow of delaying peace ⁢talks. Yermak stated‌ he would emphasize Kyiv’s demands for stricter sanctions ‌against Russia during his U.S. visit.

Upon arriving in‌ washington, Yermak posted on Telegram: “We will ‌actively defend Ukraine’s interests. Our agenda in America is thorough-we plan discussions with U.S. counterparts on defense support, battlefield ‍developments, and ⁢escalating sanctions against Russia.”

He added: “We will also negotiate an agreement granting American preferential access to⁤ Ukraine’s⁣ new mining projects and establishing an ⁣investment fund for reconstruction.”

The trip ‍follows inconclusive peace talks in istanbul that failed⁤ to advance efforts toward ending Russia’s war in Ukraine.
