According to webangah News Agency, demonstrators gathered near the White House in Washington, D.C., to protest Benjamin Netanyahu’s meeting with the U.S. president. The Israeli prime minister is currently pursued by international judicial authorities.
The protesters chanted slogans denouncing Israel’s aggression adn expressing solidarity with Palestinians.
Bernie Sanders, the prominent independent U.S. senator, also condemned Netanyahu’s visit. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he wrote: “The White House will today welcome a war criminal who has been condemned by the International Criminal Court.”
Sanders added: “Like trump, Biden has supported Netanyahu’s extremist government in its campaign of killing and starving civilians in Gaza.”
