According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Anadolu, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan responded to the delivery of PKK weapons by expressing optimism that this step will be a good beginning for realizing the goal of “a Turkey free from terrorism.”
Erdoğan added, “We pray to God to help us achieve our goals in securing our country, reassuring our people, and establishing lasting peace in the region.”
He also held a phone call with Devlet bahçeli, leader of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), during which they discussed progress on the process toward a terrorism-free turkey.
in this conversation, Bahçeli welcomed the destruction of PKK members’ weapons as part of efforts toward this goal.
Both leaders emphasized that a Turkey free from terrorism would support national unity and solidarity.
