According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Times of Israel, U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that 10 Israeli prisoners held by Hamas will be released soon.
Speaking at a dinner with lawmakers at the White House, Trump praised the efforts of steve Whitcok, the U.S. special envoy to West Asia,while making this assertion.
Israeli and Hamas negotiators have been holding their latest round of ceasefire talks in Doha, Qatar’s capital, since July 6. They are discussing a U.S. proposal for a 60-day ceasefire, the release of 10 Israeli prisoners, and handing over the bodies of 18 others.
Trump said: “We have recovered most of the hostages (prisoners). We intend to receive another 10 soon and hope to finalize it quickly.”
