Joint Statement by 14 Countries Against Iran Prompted by Canada

Canada, alongside⁢ the United⁢ States and several NATO member countries, ⁤issued a joint statement condemning the Islamic Republic of Iran in a opposed ⁣move.

According to the English section of⁢ webangah⁤ News Agency, citing Mehr News ‍Agency and ABC News, Canada and⁤ the United⁢ States, together ⁤with several NATO members, released a joint statement continuing their hostile actions ​against Tehran. They condemned what they⁣ described as “increasing ‍threats from‌ iranian⁣ intelligence ​services.”

The statement accused Iran-without ‍providing any⁤ evidence-of⁣ opposing efforts to ‌prevent​ “assassinations, ⁤kidnappings, ⁢and⁢ harassment” of citizens in North America and Canada. ‍It ⁢claimed ​these ⁢countries stand united against such activities.

The declaration was signed by the governments of Canada, Albania, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, denmark, Finland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom-and the United States.

It​ did not refer to any ​specific incident but ​insisted that these​ alleged ⁤attacks violate national sovereignty.‌ The signatories urged ⁢Iranian⁢ authorities to instantly halt what‍ they termed ‍unlawful actions.

Ismail Baqaei Maleki, spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejected security ⁣allegations made by ​the U.S., France and ‌other Western​ nations. He stated: “The U.S., France and other countries signing​ this anti-Iranian statement are supporters and hosts of terrorist and ⁤violent groups and must be held accountable for their violations of international law⁢ in backing terrorism.”

He emphasized that “these ⁣accusations are blatant fabrications intended as part of a malicious​ campaign of Iranophobia aimed at exerting pressure‌ on the Iranian ⁢nation. Such conduct violates international law principles and ⁢UN Charter obligations. ⁣The‍ countries endorsing this statement must answer for their improper and irresponsible behavior.”
