US Pressures Iraqi Prime Minister Against Popular Mobilization Forces

A member of Iraq’s State of Law coalition revealed U.S. pressure on‍ the country’s prime minister regarding the Popular Mobilization Forces.

According ​to the⁢ English section of webangah⁤ News Agency, citing ⁣Al-Maalomah ‍via Mehr News Agency, Abdulrahman Al-Jazaeri, ⁣a member of Iraq’s State of Law Coalition, emphasized that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani is facing pressure from the united states⁣ concerning the Popular mobilization Forces ⁣(PMF) and​ related issues.

He added that laws regarding service and retirement for the PMF are currently under review in the Iraqi parliament, but American parties are exerting pressure on Al-Sudani about these matters.

Al-Jazaeri asserted that Al-Sudani cannot oppose parliament or legislation concerning ⁣PMF service and retirement regulations.

It is indeed noteworthy that​ the Popular Mobilization ‍Forces‍ currently ‍serve as a key component in Iraq’s security apparatus. They ‍are also‍ actively ⁣involved in securing this year’s Arbaeen pilgrimage ceremonies.
