According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Shehab News Agency, hunger is ravaging Gaza, claiming more lives every day.
In the latest heartbreaking scene from Gaza’s famine, Palestinian media released images of Salim Asfour, the muezzin at Sahaba Mosque in Abasan al-Jadida area east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza. His emaciated body reflects both his severe hunger and Gaza’s dire conditions.
The starvation has consumed so much flesh that his bones are clearly visible.
In recent months, the Zionist regime has exploited a “humanitarian aid mechanism” designed by the United States with Tel Aviv’s cooperation to lure vulnerable Palestinians to designated locations within Gaza. It then conducts shootings and bombings around those centers.
On multiple documented occasions, dozens of Palestinians waiting for food and medicine aid have been deliberately targeted by snipers or drone strikes. Human rights organizations have condemned this tactic as a “death trap.”
With a sharp rise in children suffering from acute malnutrition across Gaza alongside increased starvation-related deaths, the World Health Institution (WHO) earlier accused the Zionist regime of deliberately blocking humanitarian assistance into this enclave. WHO called for immediate delivery of food, medicine, and medical supplies to alleviate this crisis.
