According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency via Anadolu, US President Donald Trump, following provocative remarks by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council, announced that two American nuclear submarines sent toward waters near Russia have now arrived at their target locations.
Speaking to reporters, Trump stated: “they are in the area. Yes, exactly where they need to be!”
Amid escalating verbal tensions wiht Medvedev, Trump previously confirmed he had ordered the deployment of the two submarines to a “suitable region.”
The US president had earlier threatened Russia by shortening a 50-day deadline and warned Moscow that if no agreement with Ukraine is reached within 10 to 12 days, secondary sanctions and tariffs would be imposed on Russia and its trade partners.
Trump also told reporters: “Countless Russian soldiers-and fewer Ukrainians-are being killed; thousands upon thousands continue dying.Many people are losing their lives in this outrageous war.”
He reiterated his desire to end the conflict in Ukraine and claimed: “We have stopped wars in many countries before, and we intend to stop this one too.”
