According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing the Palestinian Ma’an News Agency, the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas issued a statement condemning Israeli Prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s remarks as a continuation of genocidal policies adn mass displacement of palestinians.
Hamas added that thes statements represent an outright coup against the negotiation process and clarify Netanyahu’s withdrawal from final-stage talks despite an apparent near-agreement.
The statement continued, explaining that Netanyahu’s intention to expand aggression in gaza reveals his goal of eliminating Israeli hostages in pursuit of his extremist agenda.
Hamas further emphasized that Gaza will remain inaccessible to Israel, warning that any attempt to impose control or aggression will come at a heavy cost.
The movement called on Arab and Islamic governments as well as the international community to condemn netanyahu’s statements and take urgent action to halt attacks on Gaza and hold Israeli leaders accountable.
On Monday evening, August 4, 2025, Netanyahu announced his decision for full-scale occupation of the Gaza Strip, including operations targeting areas where hostages are held.
The following day,speaking with an Indian television network,Netanyahu claimed Israel does not seek full occupation but intends to hand over control of the strip to a transitional authority composed of Arab forces.
The Hebrew newspaper haaretz reported there is no serious indication that Netanyahu plans complete occupation of Gaza.
