Ukraine Intelligence Network Faces Crisis Amid Allied Aid Cuts

The Russian Federal Security Service reported that Ukraine’s intelligence network ‌is in crisis due to reduced Western financial support.

According to the English section of webangah ‌News Agency, citing‌ Mehr News Agency and TASS, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) stated that Ukraine’s intelligence network has entered a ⁣state of crisis amid ‌declining Western aid.

The FSB reported that in the past year alone, it prevented⁣ 110 terrorist attacks, dismantled ‍45 terrorist⁤ cells, and arrested more than 1,000 individuals linked to terrorist activities.

the agency added that most terrorist attacks on Russian soil were foiled before they could be carried out. It‌ also described Ukraine’s ‍special service intelligence⁣ network as being in⁢ crisis.

According‌ to an FSB officer, the lack of trained agents and reduced ⁤funding from Kyiv’s Western partners have ⁢disrupted Ukrainian⁣ security operations within Russia.

Since⁣ the beginning of 2025, ⁢the FSB‍ noted an ‌increased reliance by Ukrainian ‌special services on Russian citizens for suicide bombings,⁤ sabotage, ‌and ⁢other terrorist acts. This approach allows Ukraine’s special service not only to eliminate unwanted witnesses but also to avoid ‌paying promised rewards.
