Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International React to Journalist Killings in Gaza

Human Rights⁤ Watch emphasized that the Israeli military shows complete disregard for the ‌lives of civilians in the Gaza Strip, while Amnesty International described Israel’s killing of ‌journalists in Gaza as unprecedented in ‌contemporary history.

The ‍English section of webangah ‍News Agency,citing Mehr News ⁣Agency adn⁢ Al Jazeera,reported that ​Human Rights Watch highlighted the brutal killings of Anas Sharif,Mohammad Qreiqa,and other journalists in the Gaza Strip as a severe threat to ‍Palestinian reporters.

The organization condemned the intentional killing of journalists by Israeli forces and warned that the Israeli military⁣ completely disregards civilian lives in Gaza.

Amnesty International also strongly condemned​ the intentional targeting of journalists during an ‌Israeli ⁢airstrike‍ on a press tent in Gaza City. It emphasized ‌that no conflict in recent history has ​resulted in such a high number of ​journalist casualties as Israel’s actions amounting to ​genocide in Gaza.

The international body stressed‍ that self-reliant and‌ impartial investigations must be conducted into the deaths of Palestinian journalists to ensure justice and provide compensation ⁣to their families.

Amnesty International urged all countries to act promptly to end what it described as Israel’s ongoing genocide.

Anas Sharif‍ and Mohammad Qreiqa, both journalists with Al Jazeera ⁢news network, ‍along with Ibrahim Zaher (cameraman),⁤ Moamen Aliwa ⁢(cameraman), Mohammad Nofal (camera assistant), and Mohammad al-Khalidi where killed during an Israeli⁣ attack on a press compound at al-Shifa Hospital campus in Gaza.
