Norway’s Sovereign Wealth Fund announces suspension of investments in the Occupied Territories due to the Gaza war.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency via Al Jazeera, Norway’s Finance Minister emphasized that the sovereign wealth fund should not invest in companies complicit in occupation activities in the West Bank and the Gaza conflict.
The Norwegian minister also stated that further actions are expected from the sovereign wealth fund following today’s announcement on its investments in Israel.
This statement from Norway’s Finance Minister comes as Hebrew newspaper Israel Hayom reported that Norway’s sovereign wealth fund has decided to halt its investments in Israel due to the war in Gaza.
The sovereign wealth fund confirmed it will sell its shares in 11 Israeli companies.
