According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Masri Al-Youm, a Hamas delegation led by Khalil al-Hayya has arrived in Cairo to discuss recent developments in the Gaza conflict, conditions in the West Bank, occupied Jerusalem, and Al-Aqsa Mosque with Egyptian officials.
The Hamas delegation will hold meetings with Egyptian authorities tomorrow, Wednesday. These discussions will focus on strategies to halt the war against Gaza, facilitate humanitarian aid deliveries, and end the suffering of Gaza’s population.
Earlier,a knowledgeable source told Sky News Arabia that Egyptian and Qatari mediators-together with Turkey-have proposed a new plan which will also be presented to Hamas leaders.
If Hamas agrees to this plan, an American mediator will review it before presenting it to the Israeli regime.
The proposal emphasizes securing the release of all Israeli prisoners and returning their bodies in exchange for freeing several Palestinian detainees.
It also requires hamas’s approval for a phased redeployment of israeli forces under Arab and US supervision until a solution is reached regarding Hamas’s weapons and presence in Gaza.
The plan calls for entering a transitional phase that includes halting armed activities by Hamas and initiating negotiations toward achieving a permanent ceasefire agreement.
