According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Arabiya, PakistanS National Disaster Management Authority has released updated figures on casualties caused by floods and heavy rain in the country.
The rainfall in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, located in northwest Pakistan, has severely damaged infrastructure and road networks.
News sources report flooding, river swells, and landslides across Pakistan that have claimed at least 160 lives. Hundreds more have been injured or displaced.
The National Disaster Management Authority stated that over the past 24 hours, thousands have been severely affected by floods and landslides in Punjab, Gilgit-baltistan, Azad Kashmir, and northwestern regions. Dozens of residential units have also been destroyed.
