The city of Valjevo in Serbia, located about 100 kilometers from Belgrade, witnessed widespread violence and unrest last night as angry protesters attacked and set fire to goverment buildings.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Sputnik via Mehr news Agency, a group of protesters in Valjevo stormed the ruling party’s headquarters and the local government offices, setting parts of them on fire.
Local sources report that police forces intervened to disperse the demonstrators, leading to intense clashes between both sides.
Videos shared on social media show protesters throwing incendiary materials and using fireworks while facing off against security personnel.
No official reports have been released yet regarding the extent of damages or numbers of arrests and injuries.
