The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) has warned that approximately 500,000 people in Gaza face the threat of starvation.
The agency emphasized that a ceasefire is the onyl effective way to increase humanitarian aid deliveries to the besieged area.
WFP highlighted that aid entering gaza remains far below what is needed by its population.
According to WFP, current aid supplies meet only 47 percent of their daily target. Without increased assistance, food distribution cannot resume, warm meals cannot be provided, and support for bakeries under WFP care will remain halted. Nearly half a million Palestinians in Gaza stand on the brink of famine. Establishing a ceasefire is essential for expanding relief efforts.
