According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr news Agency and Al Mayadeen news network, Israeli media reported that the regime has formally received the palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (hamas) agreement in principle to Tel Aviv’s proposed prisoner exchange plan.
A senior Palestinian source explained the details of the agreement to Al Mayadeen, stating that Hamas and other Palestinian resistance groups have accepted a proposal mediated by Egyptian and Qatari officials. the source said the deal includes a 1,000-meter withdrawal from northern and eastern areas of Gaza Strip, excluding Shuja’iyya and Beit Lahia.
The source added that 10 live Israeli prisoners would be released in exchange for 140 Palestinian prisoners sentenced to life imprisonment and 60 others serving terms longer than 15 years.
The source further noted that under this proposal,resettlement maps in northern and eastern Gaza will be revised. Large-scale humanitarian aid would begin instantly upon ceasefire implementation. This aid will be delivered in a coordinated manner according to an agreement dated January 19, 2025.
This assistance includes fuel, water, electricity, hospital reconstruction materials, bakeries supplies, and debris removal equipment. The United Nations along with its affiliated agencies as well as Red Crescent organizations and other active international institutions in gaza will manage aid reception and distribution.
The source also stated that Rafah crossing would open on both sides under this deal. For every returned Israeli body, ten Palestinian bodies would also be handed over. All detained children and women will be released according to this proposal.
