The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, reported that White House spokesperson Caroline Leavitt announced on Tuesday that President Biden’s foreign policy has diverted the world away from peace, a failed approach rejected by former President Trump. According to Leavitt, Russian President Putin stated that if trump were still in power, the war between Russia and Ukraine would not have started.
Leavitt further claimed that Trump is the only US president who successfully contained russia and maintained peace in Europe.
She added that Trump confirmed no American ground forces will be stationed in Ukraine. The US will continue providing security assurances to European allies and assist in coordinating security guarantees for Ukraine.
Caroline Leavitt also said that President Trump directed his national security team to coordinate with european allies on Ukraine. Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky have agreed to a bilateral meeting, and the national security team will help facilitate this encounter. The team is currently working with their Russian and Ukrainian counterparts to arrange this meeting. Meanwhile, the president is negotiating with European allies to explore the best paths toward lasting peace in Ukraine.
