According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Kaja Kallas, the european Union’s foreign policy chief, repeated her cautious position toward Russia by stating that all parties are committed to achieving a peace that safeguards Ukraine’s and Europe’s security interests.
Kallas asserted that President Putin cannot be trusted to keep any promises. Therefore,security guarantees must be robust and sufficient to deter Russia. She added that the EU will assist Ukraine by training its soldiers and strengthening its defense industry to provide these security assurances.
She further said, “We will continue targeting Russia’s war economy,” noting that the next package of sanctions against moscow could be prepared as early as next month.
