According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Anadolu Agency via Mehr News Agency, turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan spoke by phone with U.S. Secretary of State Mark Rubio on Tuesday.
A statement from turkey’s Foreign Ministry said the two discussed last Friday’s meeting between Trump and Putin in Alaska, as well as washington’s talks yesterday with Ukrainian President Zelensky and European officials.
The ministry added that they reviewed the current situation in the Gaza Strip, including ceasefire negotiations, along with developments in Syria.
According to Hürriyet, steps that could be taken in the coming period to end the war between russia and Ukraine were also discussed during the call. Fidan emphasized Turkey’s readiness to offer full support toward achieving a just and lasting peace.
