According to webangah News Agency, citing Mehr news Agency and Al Jazeera, the spokesperson for the Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) stated that 28 children die daily in Gaza, making them the group most severely affected by war and famine.
The spokesperson added that Israel uses hunger as a tool of pressure during its negotiations with resistance groups.
UNRWA’s spokesperson emphasized that Israeli threats to occupy Gaza would result in thousands more casualties and worsen the humanitarian crisis in the enclave.
He also said that without UNRWA, effective distribution of aid in Gaza would not be possible.
On Tuesday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza issued a statement updating casualty figures from Israeli military attacks since October 7, 2023.
The ministry reported that 62,064 people have been killed as a result of Israeli strikes on Gaza since October 7, 2023.
It also stated that total injuries from these attacks have reached 156,573 individuals since the start of hostilities in the enclave.
The ministry further announced that within the past 24 hours alone, bodies of 60 martyrs were delivered to hospitals while 343 people were wounded during this period.
Additionally, since March 18, 2025-amid a new wave of assaults on Gaza-there have been 10,518 fatalities and 44,532 injuries reported.
