According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Al-Youm, Russian President Vladimir Putin briefed his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, on his recent meeting with Donald Trump.
The Kremlin stated that during the call, Putin discussed with Erdoğan his latest meeting with the US president in Alaska.
Putin also acknowledged Turkey’s support in organizing talks between Ukrainian representatives in Istanbul.
The Russian president consulted with Erdoğan regarding ongoing developments in the Ukraine conflict during their conversation.
It is worth noting that Trump recently met with Putin at the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska. Even though the meeting aimed to take decisive steps toward peace in the Ukraine war, failure to reach a ceasefire after three hours of discussions raised many questions.
