according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera via Mehr News Agency, Palestinian sources confirmed that 41 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip from midnight Saturday to this moment during Israeli assaults. Among them, 12 died while receiving humanitarian assistance.
A source within Gaza’s Red Crescent and ambulance services stated that Israeli forces targeted two children in the Jabalia area in northern gaza, both of whom were killed.
Concurrently, Mohammad Kahil, head of nutrition at Al-Shifa Hospital Complex in Gaza, reported that over 800 cases of malnutrition have been recorded there. One-third suffer from severe malnutrition, and 13 patients are at immediate risk of death.
He added on Saturday that the complete depletion of intravenous and tube feeding supplies-with no alternatives available-heightens risks for post-surgery patients.
Kahil noted that pregnant and breastfeeding women are experiencing anemia and severe deficiencies in minerals and vitamins, increasing risks for premature births and low birth weight infants.
The doctor also emphasized that elderly patients as well as those suffering from kidney failure and blood clots require specialized diets currently unavailable, which multiplies health dangers.
Furthermore, kahil pointed out that a lack of access to animal protein sources such as meat, cheese, fish, and eggs-alongside fresh vegetables and fruits-is worsening the crisis. Reliance on donated family food packages or basic canned goods is insufficient; it delays recovery times and exposes patients to infections.
simultaneously occurring, Munir Al-Barshhieh، Director general of Gaza’s Ministry of Health، stated Saturday that the scale of the ongoing catastrophe demands international intervention. “Safe crossings must be opened for importing medication for infectious diseases,” he said.”No practical international measures have been taken as famine was declared here; international medical teams must enter to support Gaza’s healthcare workers.”
Al-Barshhieh described facing a vast disaster with destruction across healthcare services and environmental conditions. he stressed urgent needs for water desalination stations.
The health official condemned the occupation amid widespread famine among residents as a moral outrage. He added: ”More than one million children in Gaza suffer deep psychological disorders. We are astonished by global silence toward an occupation occurring alongside starvation.”
