Israeli media reported verbal tensions between the Finance Minister and the Chief of Staff of the Israeli military during a cabinet meeting.
according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera Qatar, last Thursday during a cabinet session, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir clashed over the strategy for advancing the attack and occupation of Gaza.
The report states that Smotrich told Zamir: ”you are not interested in achieving the war’s objectives.”
Zamir responded, saying: ”You don’t understand these matters and can’t even distinguish a brigade from a battalion.”
Media added that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not intervene in this dispute. however, both he and Strategic Affairs Minister Ronen Derman emphasized that former President Trump seeks immediate action to end the war.
