According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the launch of Yemen’s Palestine 2 hypersonic missiles toward Israel was unexpected, as such missiles had never been used by them before.
The Israeli daily stated that three attempts to intercept Yemen’s hypersonic missiles failed.
Yedioth Ahronoth further noted that it remains uncertain whether Israeli strikes against yemen will be sufficient to prevent future missile launches by Yemeni forces.
On Friday night, Yemeni armed forces announced that the army’s missile unit carried out a special operation targeting Lydd Airport in the occupied city of Jaffa.
According to their statement, a single Palestine 2 type ballistic hypersonic missile was used in this operation. The missile successfully bypassed Israel’s air defence systems and struck its target precisely.
The Yemeni armed forces emphasized that this missile attack caused widespread disruption among enemy ranks, forced millions of Israelis into shelters, and halted airport operations.
The statement added: ”This operation was conducted in support of the oppressed Palestinian people and their fighters, and as a response to Israel’s genocidal crimes and food blockade against Gaza.”
additionally, Yemen’s army drone unit launched two separate operations using two drones targeting positions of the Israeli regime in occupied areas of Jaffa and Ashkelon. According to these forces, they successfully hit vital military targets.
