On Sunday, Abu Muhammad al-Jolani, leader of the ruling terrorist faction in Syria, confirmed during a reception for a media delegation in Damascus that advanced talks on a security agreement between Israel and Syria are underway.
Jolani stated he would have no hesitation signing any deal beneficial to Syria and affirmed that any agreement with Israel would be publicly announced.
He added that any peace accord would be based on the 1974 ceasefire line, preserving Syrian sovereignty while paving the way for confidence-building measures and potentially reaching a full peace treaty.
