Italy Adopts Passive Stance on Gaza Journalists’ Assassinations

Italy’s⁤ foreign Minister called for “guaranteeing the safety of journalists in Gaza” without condemning the⁣ ongoing crimes committed⁣ by the Israeli occupation forces.

According to the English section of ⁢ webangah ‍News Agency, citing Mehr News ‍Agency adn Anadolu Agency, Italian⁢ Foreign ⁢Minister ⁤Antonio Tajani on Monday,‍ following the killing of⁣ five journalists in an⁤ Israeli strike on a hospital in southern Gaza, refrained from condemning the occupiers’‍ continued atrocities. Instead, he stated that Israel must guarantee the safety of journalists in Gaza.

Tajani referred to a joint statement last week by 27 countries: “Regarding media in Gaza, we have already adopted a document along with many other nations. ⁢Our⁤ position ‍on freedom of‍ the press remains unchanged.”

According ⁣to ANSA News Agency, Tajani took a solely verbal and passive stance ‌toward Israel’s assaults, saying: “We‍ believe ⁤guaranteeing journalist safety is significant so that reporters can continue their work in Gaza!”

The Israeli occupation army once again committed a new crime against media personnel by killing Muhammad Salameh, a‍ cameraman for Al Jazeera network, along with several other journalists ‌in Gaza.⁢ This act triggered waves of global ⁢condemnation.

Al Jazeera reported that with Salameh’s death, their total journalist ⁤casualties during the ⁣Gaza conflict have reached ten.240 journalists have been killed since the war began.

The network‍ stated that this conflict represents one of the bloodiest‍ wars for reporters in contemporary history.

The Europe-Mediterranean Human ‌Rights Watch also ⁢declared ⁢that the attack on journalists and rescue teams at Nasser Hospital was ⁢a intentional trap orchestrated‌ through low-flying Israeli drones guided by precise intelligence.

The institution emphasized ⁢that such attacks are not accidental ‍but⁢ part of recurring documented policies carried out by Israel across various areas of Gaza.
