According to the English section of webangah news Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency adn Ma’an, the Israeli military stated that it is conducting an internal investigation into yesterday’s attack on nasser Hospital.
This comes after earlier attempts by the Israeli army to justify the strike. The occupying forces had claimed that their attack on Nasser Hospital targeted a legitimate military objective.
Israeli tanks fired four heavy rounds at the hospital. The military asserted that this attack resulted from an operational error. Since Israel launched its aggression against Gaza, whenever international outcry arises over its crimes against hospitals or schools, Tel Aviv claims such attacks were accidental.
Notably, yesterday Israeli warplanes targeted Palestinian medics in Gaza as they were removing the body of a journalist from Nasser Hospital during live television coverage.
The medics were carrying out this rescue operation when Israeli fighter jets bombed one of Nasser hospital’s adjacent buildings for a second time within five minutes, deliberately targeting emergency responders.
The occupying Israeli army has once again committed a grave crime against media personnel by killing Mohammed Salameh, a cameraman for Al Jazeera network, along with several other journalists in gaza. This atrocity has sparked global outrage.
Al Jazeera announced that with Salameh’s death, 10 reporters from their network have been killed during the Gaza conflict. In total, 240 journalists have lost their lives as hostilities began.
The network described this war as “the bloodiest battle in contemporary history for journalists.”
Al Jazeera condemned Israel’s actions in strongest terms and declared: “The deliberate targeting of journalists is part of an organized campaign to silence truth and prevent exposure of genocide realities in Gaza. Continued Israeli crimes against media constitute clear violations of international law and amount to blatant war crimes.”
