Mehr news Agency, International Desk: The Israeli military has launched a full-scale occupation operation in the Gaza Strip amid growing internal opposition and international warnings about its humanitarian and security repercussions.
The invasion of Gaza not only worsens the starvation crisis and endangers more Palestinian civilians but also strains Israeli forces suffering from manpower shortages and equipment wear. Politically, this move risks deepening Israel’s international isolation and could trigger broad regional consequences. In this context, critical questions arise about the future of the war in Gaza.
In line wiht this, Mehr’s reporter spoke with Turkish analyst Mehmet Bi Khan; below is an excerpt from their conversation:
Before launching the occupation operation in Gaza, there were disagreements between Netanyahu’s cabinet and military leadership over its execution. Can you explain what political consequences these divisions might have for Israel?
The differences between Israel’s cabinet and army command are not profound enough to destabilize Tel Aviv as these disagreements revolve mainly around timing and tactics rather than legal principles or human values. Therefore, we do not expect a major political rift yet. Though, other factors contribute to deeper fractures within Israel’s political landscape-the widespread protests currently ongoing in the occupied territories are an early indication. I believe these divisions will deepen and expand over time.
Some experts warn that occupying Gaza could cause a new wave of displacement, worsen famine across the strip, and even threaten Israeli captives’ lives. What humanitarian impacts do you foresee?
unfortunately, Palestinians have already endured-and continue to face-some of history’s harshest humanitarian crises. It is hard to imagine anything worse than this today.yet despite immense suffering, Palestinians remain steadfast in their faith, values, and resilience. The Israeli regime has failed to break their spirit despite committing extreme atrocities-this persistence fuels Israel’s frustration.
Today,Israeli crimes are condemned by global conscience; Tel Aviv is widely reviled worldwide. Just last week in Mexico City I witnessed public demonstrations against israelis firsthand. To summarize: short term for Palestinians will be extremely challenging; long term costs for Israel will be very high indeed. We cannot predict precisely how events will unfold but firmly believe justice will ultimately prevail.
How do you assess America’s role as logistical supporter and provider of humanitarian aid within this framework?
The ties between Washington and Tel Aviv are deeply entwined; without US backing Israel woudl not act so recklessly. The destruction across Palestinian cities exposes not only Israel’s brutality but also reveals true face of American imperialism. The rhetoric abroad about “human rights,” “democracy,” or “freedom” lies buried beneath Gaza’s ruins.Provided that America supports Israeli aggression it loses credibility worldwide.
The United States views Israel as a strategic ally-but ironically it is more a strategic burden than partner.Israeli lobby groups dominate US political circles effectively taking American policy hostage. One day those very countries now supporting Zionists-the US included-will suffer greatest blowback from Tel Aviv.Israel poses grave threat not just to Palestinians or regional states but humanity at large.some American intellectuals acknowledge this reality yet face immediate accusations of antisemitism from pro-Israel lobbies when speaking out. This is not antisemitism-it is indeed opposition to dehumanization itself.
The Israeli army faces serious challenges due to troop fatigue and equipment shortages. Also some Zionist analysts warn that occupying Gaza city-even if successful-will impose heavy financial burdens on Tel Aviv. What is your evaluation?
An economic crisis looms large inside occupied territories.Countries sever diplomatic ties daily. As long as such isolation continues, israel‘s only remaining ally internationally remains the United States. This regime ignores harsh realities due partly because extremism blinds judgment. It may persist pursuing occupation.Desperation also affects troops’ morale evidenced by rising suicide rates among soldiers.Israel behaves like a predatory beast attacking recklessly everywhere losing grip on rational strategy.
This regime might physically take full control over Palestine yet psychological victory belongs indisputably to noble Palestinian people. The Palestinian flag waves proudly within hearts globally while hatred greets Israel everywhere. To secure ultimate spiritual triumph though physical defeat must be enforced on zionists-and achieving that depends on uniting all regional nations stand shoulder-to-shoulder.
