The English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, reported that Israeli media announced an incident involving an Israeli army tank in southern Syria.
According to Israeli sources, a tank from the regime’s army engaged in routine operations in southern Syria caught fire due to a technical malfunction.
The source added that the Israeli military has launched an official inquiry to determine the exact cause and details of the fire.
It is indeed noteworthy that as the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s government in Syria, Israel has repeatedly attacked the Golan region and Druze-populated areas around Damascus under the pretext of protecting Syrian Druze minorities.
Through these repeated strikes targeting Syrian military capabilities and supporting ethnic and identity minorities within Syria, Israel aims to fragment the contry into several weak, smaller states.
In recent months, Israel’s frequent military attacks have targeted multiple strategic sites across Syria-including the General Staff headquarters, a presidential office building, and various locations in southern Syria-provoking condemnation from regional countries.
