Details of the Statement on Islamic Human Rights and Human Dignity Day

The Human Rights Headquarters of the Islamic Republic ⁣of Iran issued a statement on the occasion ⁢of “Islamic Human Rights and Human Dignity Day.”

According to ⁤the English section of webangah News ‌Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, the Human Rights Headquarters of the Islamic Republic of Iran released a statement on “Islamic Human ⁢Rights and human Dignity ‍Day,” criticizing the unprincipled policies and positions ⁤of countries that claim to champion human rights. the statement⁤ emphasized that human dignity is under threat now more than ever.

The hypocrisy ⁤and superficiality behind some ⁣Western countries’ human rights claims⁢ have become⁣ undeniable. For example, while ⁤the U.S.Congress warmly honors Benjamin Netanyahu-the leader of a criminal regime ⁣accused by the international Criminal‍ Court for crimes against humanity-it together nominates as a peace prize candidate‍ an American president⁣ known for warmongering, violating other states’ sovereignty, targeted assassination of human rights defenders, using unlawful coercive sanctions, ‍breaching human rights including those of women, children, ‍prisoners, and ‌refugees; withdrawing from international ‌agreements related to human rights and climate change; sanctioning UN human rights reporters and international judges alike. These ⁣farcical displays represent desperate efforts by a system intent on masking its bloody record behind veils of democracy and human rights.

The full text reads as follows:

August 5 marks the anniversary of adopting an important document titled‍ “The Islamic Declaration⁣ on Human Rights ⁣and Human Dignity.” We extend congratulations to all freedom thinkers and ‍justice seekers worldwide⁣ on ⁢this occasion. This valuable document-rooted in ⁣the profound teachings of ⁤Islam regarding human dignity-is hoped to inspire a just international order where human rights are not political tools wielded by powerful nations but reflections of genuine divine and humanitarian values.

On⁣ August 5, 1990 (14 Mordad 1369 in ‍Iranian⁤ calendar), member states ‍at the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation ⁣adopted this declaration (commonly‍ known as Cairo Declaration), taking a major step toward presenting an option legal framework based on Islamic teachings and values. It serves as both a critique and reconsideration of Western-centric individualistic, ⁢humanitarianist liberal‌ notions prevalent⁢ in global human rights‌ discourse.

Nearly eighteen years later in 2008⁤ (1387 Iranian calendar), Iran proposed marking this date officially in Muslim countries’ calendars as “Islamic Human Rights and Human Dignity Day.” This‌ milestone symbolizes Islam’s efforts to counter Western cultural‌ expansionism by promoting governance based on religious values.

The declaration affirms that⁢ under Sharia law, human rights stem from intrinsic worth ⁤bestowed upon individuals, entrusting Muslims with⁣ universal responsibility. Even though humankind has ‌achieved significant material progress through ⁣science, there remains an acute need for faith and spirituality to preserve true civilizational advancements alongside ⁤basic liberties.

today it is ⁤indeed apparent more than ever that material ‌growth combined with Western-style human-rights rhetoric cannot guarantee genuine dignity or⁤ happiness for humanity. the ‌glaring reality unfolds clearly through open cooperation between certain ‌so-called ⁣”defenders”⁢ led‍ notably by America-who side actively with Israel’s brutal regime responsible for mass killings primarily targeting innocent civilians including women and children.

Since October 7th last year (2023),Israel has perpetrated unprecedented ⁣atrocities: Over 60 thousand innocent Gaza civilians have been⁣ killed-with women and children comprising approximately seventy percent; over⁤ 149 thousand others wounded; employing starvation tactics toward children via blockade-a collective‌ punishment weapon-and devastating infrastructure systematically targeted including hospitals, safety centers,Emergency bases, and ambulances-all violations ‌carried out despite repeated calls condemning these acts under international law.
In addition,it inflicted cross-border terrorism killing approximately1100 Iranian citizens during twelve days.Lastly, victims included102 ‍women(two pregnant), numerous minors, and fourteen scientists/professors.This violence reflects complicity⁢ beyond warfare showcasing barbarities rarely witnessed historically supported materially politically militarily by certain Western “civilized” entities ⁣whose racial supremacy rationalizes mass murder.
    Notably,the German‍ chancellor himself ⁣admits their use albeit indirectly,recruited from⁣ Israel’s occupationandarchild-killers,to ⁣perpetrate these⁢ egregious ‌atrocities serving interests masquerading⁢ ‘Western democracy’.

The duplicity entrenched within some western governments’⁤ claims has reached such depths it can no ⁤longer‍ be disguised beneath eloquent slogans.Of ‍one hand, the U.S.Congress lavishly praises Benjamin Netanyahu-the headof astate accusedbythe International Criminal Courtfor crimesagainst humanity-while nominating ⁤asthatsame figure or his proxies who foster war, massacre, torture, state terrorism, economic coercionoutlawedsanctions, intolerant‌ attacksonwomenchildrenprisonersrefugeesasprominentviolators, reject⁤ internationaltreatiesconventionsclimate accords, bansUN expertsandjudgesaspeaceprize contenders.Suchcontradictions exposethe moral bankruptcyofthe Westincludingdistortingdefinitionswhere ‘peace’equalssupportforthe wars, and’human rightsequals justificationof crimes.”
