According to webangah News Agency,citing Lebanon’s Al-Akhbar newspaper,Prime Minister Najib Mikati emphasized that Lebanon dose not trust the Zionist regime’s assurances. He affirmed that Lebanon will continue working to secure the release of prisoners and reclaim occupied lands.
Speaking at the Interior Ministry during vote counting for Lebanon’s elections,mikati stressed that his government is collaborating with the United States,France,and other allies to pressure Israel into halting its aggressions and withdrawing from Lebanese territories.
Addressing reports about potential prisoner exchanges between Iraq and Israel that might include Lebanese detainees, Mikati stated: “We have no confidence in Israel’s guarantees. We maintain our demands for freeing Lebanese prisoners while continuing efforts to liberate our occupied lands.”
The Prime Minister referenced his recent meetings in Washington focused on Lebanon’s reconstruction,confirming initial funding had been secured. He noted ongoing cooperation with the world Bank, international partners, and allied nations to provide necessary support for rebuilding damaged areas.
