Justice Rally for Gaza Echoes at New York’s Heart

A group of protesters in New York, USA, demonstrated against the starvation policies‌ imposed by ‍the Zionist regime on the⁢ oppressed people of Gaza.

A report ⁤from the English section of webangah News ⁤Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Masirah Network, stated⁤ that a group of ⁢protesters gathered outside the United Nations headquarters in new York. They chanted slogans⁣ demanding an immediate end to Gaza’s starvation, calling to “Stop famine in Gaza.”

This protest coincided with a report published Monday, July 27, by London-based weekly The ‍Economist. The report revealed that fatalities at food distribution centers in Gaza more than eightfold increased during June compared to May.

The sharp rise in deaths occurred alongside the launch of the newly established Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, a U.S.-supported⁣ entity tasked with managing aid distribution.

The Economist added that at least 800 Palestinians died trying to access food across Gaza during June.

Satellite images and maps disclosed by The Economist⁤ indicated that obtaining humanitarian aid has become a deadly challenge for Gazans.

6.9-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Eastern Russia; Japan Orders Evacuation

A 6.9-magnitude earthquake shook eastern Russia.

According to teh English section of webangah News⁣ agency, citing Mehr news Agency and Reuters, the United States Geological Survey reported a 6.9-magnitude earthquake in the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky region of eastern Russia.

Following the quake, the Japanese government issued ⁤warnings.

Japan’s national broadcaster NHK reported that Tokyo authorities have⁤ ordered urgent‍ evacuations for residents in parts of⁢ the⁢ Kamchatka Peninsula.

No‌ reports⁢ have yet confirmed casualties or damage, but Japanese officials expressed concerns⁢ about a possible tsunami.

The Kamchatka region is located within the seismically active Pacific Ring of Fire.

U.S. Warns China Against Buying Oil from Iran and Russia

U.S. Treasury Secretary issues a direct warning to China, urging it ⁣to refrain from purchasing oil‍ from Iran and Russia, viewed as clear interference in sovereign affairs.

According to teh English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and‌ Al-Monitor, U.S. ⁤Treasury ⁤Secretary Scott Bessent announced on Tuesday that during trade talks between the ⁤United States and China in Stockholm, he warned Chinese officials that continued ‍purchases of sanctioned oil from russia and⁢ Iran could trigger heavy tariffs up to 100 percent.

Bessent stated that under a proposal currently before the U.S. Congress, if countries persist in buying sanctioned Russian oil, the‌ President of the United States would have authority ⁢to impose tariffs as high as 500 percent.

He added: “I believe anyone ⁣purchasing Russia’s sanctioned ⁤oil should be prepared for such tariffs.”

The Treasury Secretary also conveyed America’s dissatisfaction with China’s ongoing imports of Iranian oil directly to Beijing officials.

Bessent emphasized ⁣that‌ former‌ president Trump set‍ a new deadline on Monday for Russia⁤ to make progress toward peace with Ukraine; ⁤otherwise, Russia’s oil buyers will face secondary sanctions-specifically 100 percent tariffs-within 10 to ‍12 days.

In response to these warnings, Chinese officials asserted their sovereign right to ‍secure energy⁤ supplies and made it clear that decisions about purchasing oil are based solely on China’s domestic needs.

Bessent noted:‍ “The Chinese are very sensitive about their sovereignty. They do not want us interfering. Therefore, they prefer paying a 100 percent tariff.”

He further cautioned that continued‌ exports of dual-use technologies (both military and civilian) valued over $15 billion from China to Russia threaten China’s efforts to expand ‍trade relations with Europe.

Regarding this matter,he said: “I reminded them [the Chinese] that these actions strongly impact European public opinion because they create an impression that⁤ China is⁤ supporting a war happening at Europe’s borders.”

The leader of the UK Labor Party calls for decisive global⁢ action against the Israeli ‍regime.

According to‍ the English⁣ section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al ⁣Jazeera, Jeremy Corbyn, leader of the labour Party and current Member of Parliament in the UK House of Commons,⁤ emphasized in an interview⁢ with Al Jazeera that no country ‍should supply weapons to a regime committing genocide.

He criticized Israel’s ongoing policies and unilateral actions in gaza, describing them as genocide by this regime on Palestinian soil. Corbyn added that Israel has been granted a veto power allowing it to act with impunity.

The opposition leader stressed that now is the time for all countries to take a firm stand against⁣ Israel.

He stated plainly that Britain must explicitly recognize the State of Palestine.

In line with this, on Tuesday evening Britain’s Minister for Middle East Affairs announced that London⁣ has long been committed to recognizing Palestine as a⁤ state.

The minister affirmed: “We have long been committed to recognizing the State of Palestine.”

The official⁢ added that today they have taken steps within a peace plan ⁢framework aimed at alleviating ⁤suffering and supporting a two-state solution.

Also earlier⁣ today, a spokesperson for⁤ the UK Prime Minister’s‍ Office said Keir Starmer ⁣told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that conditions in ⁢Gaza are unbearable and delivering humanitarian aid ⁤is more critical than ever.

The British Prime minister will⁤ hold an emergency cabinet meeting Tuesday amid claims ‌it will focus on Gaza’s situation‍ and discuss ⁤proposed peace initiatives related to it.

Reuters reported increasing pressure from within Starmer’s ‍own party urging formal recognition of Palestine ‍as‍ a state.

In an unusual move during summer⁣ recess,Starmer convened his cabinet to discuss ways to increase humanitarian assistance for Gaza.

On Monday during ‌his visit⁤ with US President Donald Trump in Scotland, ⁣Starmer also discussed the urgent need for a ceasefire in ⁤Gaza and described its humanitarian crisis as “shameful.”
