Former French Foreign Minister: Israel is Heading Toward Global Isolation and Hatred

Former French Foreign Minister condemns Israel’s Gaza policies, ‌warns current⁤ path will make it a “globally reviled regime.”

According to webangah ‍News Agency, Jean-yves Le Drian, France’s⁤ former foreign⁣ minister and current presidential envoy to Lebanon,⁣ strongly condemned⁣ Israel’s policies toward Gaza in an interview with ⁣Radio⁤ France Inter, calling them a “humanitarian⁤ catastrophe.”

Le Drian ‌stated: “We’ve crossed unacceptable boundaries.Using‍ starvation and siege as military tools ⁢is⁤ a profound tragedy.”

He ⁢added: “Currently, israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu only permits limited humanitarian‌ aid‌ into Gaza-exclusively through the U.S.-and-Israel-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF)-after two months of ‌total blockade on the territory.”

“Netanyahu has pushed Israel to the brink with these policies,” Le Drian warned.

The diplomat asserted that “Israel today suffers⁣ moral collapse,” cautioning that ‍continued Netanyahu policies could render the regime “globally despised.” He described this trajectory as “deeply tragic.”

Le⁢ Drian⁣ also protested accusations against critics of Israel:‌ “Whenever Netanyahu’s government faces criticism, we’re instantly labeled antisemitic. This conflation‍ must stop-it’s ⁤utterly condemnable.”

“When⁢ france’s‍ president demands humanitarian access to Gaza, they accuse him of Hamas collaboration. These allegations have become intolerable,” he⁣ added.

The former minister concluded that only Israeli citizens can halt ⁣this perilous course through direct⁢ action-failure to do so would lead their nation toward disaster.

200 European Parliament Members Demand Safe Passage for Ship Madeline

Over 200 European Parliament members demand safe⁣ passage for Gaza-bound ship “Madelin” in open letter.

webangah News ‌Agency reports that European Parliament representatives have called on the international community to ensure safe passage for the “Madelin” ship ⁣carrying humanitarian aid and human rights activists to blockaded gaza, according to an open letter.

French MEP rima Hassan, who is aboard the vessel, shared ‌a copy of the letter on her X (formerly Twitter) account on Saturday night.

The signatories urged the EU to take⁢ immediate action to guarantee both the ship’s safe transit and unimpeded delivery of humanitarian assistance to‌ Gaza.

This ‍comes as Israeli authorities ⁢have ⁢declared they will not permit the Italy-bound “Madelin” to approach Gaza’s coastal ⁢waters.

israeli media initially reported that Israel would allow the ship’s arrival if no ⁣security threats were detected, ⁣but later reversed this decision.

The Madelin carries 12 passengers including Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg and Irish actor Liam Cunningham.

The incident follows israel’s may 2 drone attack on another aid vessel named “Al-Zamir,” which attempted to ⁣break ⁣through Gaza’s blockade. The strike caused hull damage and bow fires onboard.

The Palestinian government media office in Gaza accuses Israel of deliberately starving ⁤gazans through ‍a⁢ systematic policy aimed at ⁢forced displacement, noting all border crossings have remained ‍closed to humanitarian aid – particularly ‌food supplies – since March 2.

meanwhile, Israel continues its genocidal ⁣military campaign in Gaza with full U.S. backing since October ‍7,2023.The offensive has killed or wounded over 180,000 Palestinians – predominantly women and children - while leaving more than 11,000 missing ⁣and hundreds of thousands displaced.
