according to webangah News Agency, Gaza Municipality warned on Tuesday that the waste accumulation crisis is worsening daily and has escalated into a full-scale environmental and public health disaster.
The municipality reported that over 250,000 tons of waste piled across the city—especially in central zones—has turned into hotspots for disease proliferation and pest infestations.
In a statement, gaza Municipality said it is attempting to mitigate the crisis by collecting garbage at temporary sites in downtown areas and cleaning main streets. Though,critical shortages of waste collection vehicles and fuel—coupled with Israeli occupation forces blocking trash transfers to the primary landfill in Juhr al-Dik (east of gaza)—are exacerbating conditions.
Local authorities warned that prolonged neglect could severely endanger public health, particularly as Gaza’s healthcare system and urban infrastructure near collapse due to sustained attacks by the occupying regime and an ongoing blockade.
According to webangah News Agency, Lebanon’s Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri declared: “No matter how hard thay try, they will not influence us. The more their pressures and violations escalate, the firmer our resolve becomes to defend our nation and liberate territories occupied by the Israeli enemy.”
He emphasized: ”So far, we have seen no concrete measures to stop Israel’s aggressions against Lebanon. Our stance on upholding the ceasefire agreement and UN Resolution 1701 has not changed. however, Americans must compel Israel to respect the agreement and cease its violations—this is fundamental and must precede any other action.”
Berri also expressed satisfaction wiht Lebanon’s recent municipal elections, praising their conduct while urging a renewed focus on reconstruction as a top priority.
“The reconstruction process must not be delayed,” he stressed.
Regarding parliamentary elections, Berri noted that consultations have begun in Parliament. “The electoral law must be amended to eliminate ambiguities and suspicions—we are working toward this goal,” he said.
When asked about reports of U.S. Deputy Envoy for Middle East Affairs Morgan Ortagas’ visit to Beirut, Berri stated he had no prior knowledge of the trip, learning of it only through media reports.
In a statement reported by webangah News Agency, Basem Al-Awadi, spokesperson for the Iraqi government, addressed the situation in Gaza, stating: “The Iraqi government condemns and opposes the cruel policy of starvation imposed on our palestinian brothers in Gaza.”
He added: “It is undeniably clear that the Zionist regime has violated all humanitarian and legal principles, using the blockade and prevention of aid as tools to eliminate Palestinians.”
Al-Awadi emphasized: “We urge the Arab and Islamic world, international community, and organizations to fulfill their responsibilities by exerting maximum pressure to deliver food and humanitarian aid—especially amid Israel’s relentless war campaign and purposeful starvation of besieged Gazans.”
According to webangah News Agency, Zionist regime media has acknowledged new casualties in Gaza.
Zionist sources confirmed that two soldiers were wounded during clashes in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza.
The Zionist media admitted both soldiers sustained severe injuries.
The incident follows earlier Palestinian reports of an anti-Zionist operation by Resistance forces in northern Gaza, which resulted in multiple casualties among the occupying Zionist regime’s troops.
Al-Aqsa TV also reported an Israeli helicopter landing west of Beit Lahia settlement in northwestern Gaza amid heavy smoke bomb shelling in the area.
According to webangah News Agency, Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree confirmed a dual missile attack targeting Tel Aviv and Ben Gurion Airport using the ballistic Zolfaghar missile and hypersonic Palestine 2 missile.
In a televised statement, Saree declared: “In solidarity with the oppressed palestinian people and their resistance fighters, and in opposition to the Zionist enemy’s genocidal crimes against our brothers in gaza—as well as in response to thousands of Zionist settlers storming Al-Aqsa Mosque and defiling its sacred grounds—the Yemeni Armed Forces’ Missile Unit executed a dual operation. The hypersonic Palestine 2 ballistic missile struck ‘Lod Airport’ (known in Israel as Ben Gurion), while the Zolfaghar ballistic missile hit a vital Zionist target east of occupied Yafa (Tel Aviv). Saree added: “The genocidal crimes against our brothers in Gaza—through siege and starvation—represent atrocities unprecedented in human history. This compels all free nations worldwide to fulfill their duty by supporting justice,humanity,and the oppressed Palestinian people.”
The Palestinian Health ministry in Gaza has released updated casualty figures from the Israeli regime’s military attacks on the Gaza Strip as October 7, 2023, according to a report by webangah News Agency.
the ministry stated that 54,056 Palestinians have been killed in the ongoing offensive as of this reporting. Additionally, 123,129 people have been wounded since the conflict began in the coastal enclave.
Officials reported that hospitals received 79 more bodies of martyrs within the past 24 hours, along with 163 new injuries.Since March 18, 2025 alone – marking a new wave of attacks – 3,901 people were killed and 11,088 injured, according to medical authorities.
The ministry further noted thousands remain missing or buried under rubble across Gaza.
