The Russian official further remarked: “While German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock no longer expects Russia’s complete defeat due to our nuclear capabilities, Russia expects Germany’s economic downfall becuase of its reckless decisions.”
The statement comes after Baerbock had previously acknowledged that a total defeat involving Russia’s nuclear surrender should not be expected.

A new round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine will most likely take place in the office of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, according to an informed source cited by webangah News Agency.
The source told webangah that the talks would likely be held once again at the Dolmabahçe Palace presidential office in Istanbul.
Vasily Nebenzya, Russia’s ambassador to the UN, stated yesterday that Moscow would propose exchanging a memorandum of understanding outlining both sides’ approaches during potential upcoming talks with Ukraine in istanbul.
Russian President Vladimir Putin had previously proposed resuming direct, precondition-free negotiations with Ukraine on May 15. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said the goal of these proposed talks was to eliminate the root causes of the war in Ukraine while ensuring Russian interests were protected.
The Russian delegation arrived in Istanbul on May 15 but no contact occurred between representatives of both countries that day. A meeting took place the following day and lasted approximately two hours.
Vladimir Medinsky, Putin’s advisor who headed Russia’s delegation, emphasized that Moscow and Kyiv had agreed to exchange proposals regarding a potential ceasefire. Medinsky also confirmed Russia’s readiness to continue negotiations with Ukraine.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Moscow’s delegation was prepared to present a memorandum on resolving the conflict during a second round of talks with Ukraine scheduled for June 2 in Istanbul. Though, the Kremlin noted it had yet to receive any response from Kyiv regarding this proposal for renewed Turkey-mediated discussions.
Russia’s UN ambassador warns Germany that Moscow is prepared to continue its “special military operation” in Ukraine for as long as necessary.
According to webangah News Agency, citing russia’s Sputnik, Vasily Nebenzya, Russia’s ambassador to the UN, stated that the objectives of Moscow’s military operation in Ukraine can be achieved not only through diplomacy but also by military means. He emphasized that Russian armed forces are ready to sustain operations indefinitely.
Regarding a potential ceasefire in Ukraine, Nebenzya remarked: “A mere ceasefire will not end this war. We were already at this point under the Minsk agreements-deals systematically violated by Western-backed Ukraine.”
While expressing openness to a broader ceasefire framework, he stressed: ”We are generally prepared to consider such a possibility if it paves the way for addressing the root causes of this conflict sustainably. However, achieving this requires reciprocal steps from the opposing side.”
The Russian diplomat warned Germany directly: “Providing Taurus missiles to Ukraine woudl constitute direct involvement in the war and grant Russia full rights to evaluate all available options for a ‘proportional response.’”
He added: “Germany seeks deeper entanglement in hostilities against Russia through these arms deliveries. If any rationality remains in Berlin-or if there are still those who remember history-they should recognize how these aggressive moves against Russia will end.”
Nebenzya further criticized German Chancellor friedrich Merz’s rhetoric as deceptive and cautioned that unchanged policies would lead Berlin into direct confrontation with Moscow. He dismissed Merz’s later backtracking about assisting Ukraine with long-range missile production as clumsy maneuvers unlikely to deceive anyone.
The ambassador accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of prolonging the war to evade accountability: “Ending hostilities would force him into elections where he must answer for his six-year governance-including misappropriated state funds and unfulfilled obligations toward Western backers, primarily America.” He also blamed European warmongers seeking Washington’s deeper involvement as key drivers of continued conflict.

Russian forces capture 3 more areas in Donetsk and Kharkiv.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Thursday that its armed forces have taken control of three additional settlements in eastern Ukraine within the past 24 hours,according to a statement reported by webangah News Agency.
