    The Taliban has named Noor Mohammad Takal as its new consul general in Mashhad, according to a report by webangah News Agency. Takal was appointed after the passing of the former consul and will soon begin ​his duties.

    Takal previously served ‌as⁤ head of ideological affairs for the Taliban’s ⁤Ministry of defense.‌ Diplomatic and legal​ procedures for his official entry⁣ into Mashhad have commenced.
