Trump: Ukrainian Refugees Can Stay in the U.S. Until the End of the War

US President says he will likely allow Ukrainians who fled after the Russian invasion and are currently in the US to stay⁢ until the end of the war.

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Kyiv Autonomous⁣ via Mehr News Agency, US president Donald Trump stated that ⁤Ukrainian refugees could remain in the United⁢ States until the Ukraine-Russia war ends.

In response to whether Ukrainians who sought refuge from⁣ the war in America would be allowed to stay,Trump said: “I think we will do that. Yes, I ‌will do it. Many people have come from Ukraine to America,⁤ and we will work with them.”

Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine‍ began in February 2022, approximately 240,000 Ukrainians have entered the US under the “Uniting for ukraine” program-a scheme introduced and implemented during Joe Biden’s presidency.

Trump’s remarks come amid intensified ‌scrutiny of US immigration policies and his ‍management’s strong stance against illegal immigration. His position ⁣raised ‍concerns among Ukrainian nationals residing in America.

The Washington Post reported in June ‌on alleged‌ plans by ⁤Washington‍ to transfer ⁣undocumented migrants-including Ukrainians-to a military detention center at Guantanamo Bay; an assertion promptly denied by the White ⁣House.

The Uniting for Ukraine program launched in‍ April 2022 grants not only ⁣residency and work permits but also access to health insurance,‌ food assistance, and ‍other social services for Ukrainians.‌ The application process under this program was suspended as of January 2025 and has yet to reopen.

Though,⁣ protections initiated during Biden’s administration remain active for ukrainians, and Trump’s recent statements suggest these benefits may continue at least until⁢ the conflict concludes.

Recently, Trump set a new deadline for‍ Russia.Warning president Vladimir Putin that within ten days he must reach a peace ⁤agreement with Ukraine⁤ or ⁣face increased tariffs on Moscow and its trading partners.

Netanyahu’s Popularity Hits Unprecedented Low Among Americans

A recent poll in the United States reveals⁤ an unprecedented decline in Benjamin Netanyahu’s‍ popularity among Americans.

Tsunami Hits Hawaii; All Flights Canceled

Tsunami‌ waves reached ‌the Hawaiian⁢ coast following a powerful earthquake in eastern Russia.

According to the‌ English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr ‍News⁢ Agency and Al Jazeera, CNN reported that tsunami waves triggered‌ by an 8.5-magnitude earthquake‍ in eastern Russia have reached Hawaii⁤ in the United States.

Hawaiian authorities announced ‌that flights ‌at airports in ‍the region have been canceled due to ⁤the tsunami threat.

Reuters also reported rising wave heights along ⁣Hawaii’s coast.

Simultaneously occurring, officials‍ in Severokurilsk, ‍Russia, confirmed that four tsunami waves⁤ followed the earthquake in ⁢their area.

Earlier, TASS⁢ news agency reported⁢ that 2,700 people ‌near⁣ kamchatka’s coast were evacuated and relocated to⁣ safe areas on the kuril Islands after ‌the ‍severe earthquake.

The⁢ Russian Geophysical Survey stated ‍that 30 aftershocks measuring between magnitude 2 and 5⁢ have been recorded ‍since the main quake near Kamchatka’s shores.

Following this major ‍earthquake in eastern Russia, Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia-as well as‍ Peru and China-issued tsunami warnings.⁢ Chinese authorities recently⁣ warned of possible tsunamis affecting eastern parts of⁤ their country.

This morning, a branch‌ of ‍russia’s academy of Sciences Research Center⁢ confirmed that the earthquake ⁣shaking Kamchatka Peninsula’s coasts measured 8.5 on the Richter scale. The center emphasized that such an event is extremely⁣ rare and remarkable.

CNN described this⁢ quake as the‌ strongest recorded worldwide since 2011 along Russia’s eastern coastline.

U.S. Treasury Secretary issues a direct warning to China, urging it ⁣to refrain from purchasing oil‍ from Iran and Russia, viewed as clear interference in sovereign affairs.

According to teh English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and‌ Al-Monitor, U.S. ⁤Treasury ⁤Secretary Scott Bessent announced on Tuesday that during trade talks between the ⁤United States and China in Stockholm, he warned Chinese officials that continued ‍purchases of sanctioned oil from russia and⁢ Iran could trigger heavy tariffs up to 100 percent.

Bessent stated that under a proposal currently before the U.S. Congress, if countries persist in buying sanctioned Russian oil, the‌ President of the United States would have authority ⁢to impose tariffs as high as 500 percent.

He added: “I believe anyone ⁣purchasing Russia’s sanctioned ⁤oil should be prepared for such tariffs.”

The Treasury Secretary also conveyed America’s dissatisfaction with China’s ongoing imports of Iranian oil directly to Beijing officials.

Bessent emphasized ⁣that‌ former‌ president Trump set‍ a new deadline on Monday for Russia⁤ to make progress toward peace with Ukraine; ⁤otherwise, Russia’s oil buyers will face secondary sanctions-specifically 100 percent tariffs-within 10 to ‍12 days.

In response to these warnings, Chinese officials asserted their sovereign right to ‍secure energy⁤ supplies and made it clear that decisions about purchasing oil are based solely on China’s domestic needs.

Bessent noted:‍ “The Chinese are very sensitive about their sovereignty. They do not want us interfering. Therefore, they prefer paying a 100 percent tariff.”

He further cautioned that continued‌ exports of dual-use technologies (both military and civilian) valued over $15 billion from China to Russia threaten China’s efforts to expand ‍trade relations with Europe.

Regarding this matter,he said: “I reminded them [the Chinese] that these actions strongly impact European public opinion because they create an impression that⁤ China is⁤ supporting a war happening at Europe’s borders.”
