According to webangah News Agency, strategic analyst Abdel Bari atwan wrote in a new article for Rai Al-Youm that over the past 19 months, numerous U.S. ceasefire proposals for Gaza have failed due to partial or outright rejection by the Zionist regime and its leader Benjamin Netanyahu.
The U.S. has changed administrations and envoys, but what remains unchanged is the ongoing genocide in Gaza-Netanyahu’s objectives to eliminate Palestinian families, force mass displacement into Sinai, and empty the territory entirely. U.S. envoy Steve Wittkoff is misleading Gazans, resistance groups, and the international community by claiming a ceasefire is absolutely possible under new terms. Reports suggest Hamas agreed to release 10 living Zionist captives and hand over 18 bodies in exchange for a two-month truce and Israeli troop withdrawal from Gaza.
Atwan emphasized that his reservations about this proposal stem not from opposition to any ceasefire but from exposing it as another deception against palestinians. he warned Gazans of this looming trap.
