Expressing his condolences once again to the families of the fallen commanders, scientists, and beloved people martyred in the recent war, Imam Khamenei stated: “What happened for the Islamic Republic during these 12 days – in addition to the great honors achieved by the Iranian nation, which even people throughout the world are acknowledging today – was that the people of Iran showed their power, their determination and resolve, their steadfastness, and their ability to the world. They now saw the power of the Islamic Republic from up close.”

He also considered the clear manifestation of the Islamic Republic’s unparalleled strength as one of the key outcomes of the recent imposed war, adding: “These events weren’t something that hadn’t been experienced by the Islamic Republic before. For more than 45 years, in addition to the 8-year Imposed War, there have been seditions, inciting weak-willed individuals against the nation, and various other plots; military, political, security-related plots, as well as coups and other similar actions. The Islamic Republic has overcome all of these.”

Imam Khamenei emphasized that the Islamic Republic is built upon two fundamental pillars: faith and knowledge. He stated: “The people’s religiosity and the knowledge of our youth have been able to force the enemy to retreat in many different fields, and this will continue to be the same in the future.” He identified the root cause of Global Arrogance’s hostility — led by the criminal US — toward the Islamic Republic as the Iranian nation’s faith, knowledge, and unity under the banner of the Quran and Islam, stating: “All their talk about nuclear issues, [uranium] enrichment, human rights, and such things are nothing but excuses. Reaffirming that the Iranian nation will never forsake its faith or knowledge, Imam Khamenei added: “We will take great strides in strengthening our religious faith and in expanding and deepening our diverse and wide-ranging fields of knowledge. And much to the enemy’s dismay, we will, by God’s grace, succeed in elevating Iran to the peak of progress and the pinnacle of honor.”

The ceremony also featured Qur’anic recitations by several reciters, and Hujjat al-Islam Rafiei delivered remarks referencing Sermon 182 of Nahj al-Balagha, drawing parallels between the qualities of the martyrs of the Battle of Siffin and those martyred in the recent imposed war.

The experts from Imam Khamenei’s Office for Sighting the New Moon announced the sighting of the new moon at sunset on Friday, July 25, for the month of Safar in Iran. Thus, Saturday, July 26, 2025, is the first day of the month of Safar in the year 1447 AH.

In this meeting, the Leader analyzed the Iranian nation’s tremendous achievement in the recent imposed war and highlighted the collapse of the aggressors’ calculations and schemes. Referring to the magnificent unity of the Iranian people across various political and ideological spectrums in defense of dear Iran, he emphasized: “Safeguarding this national unity is a responsibility upon all.”

Imam Khamenei stated: “The great act of the people in the 12-day war stemmed from national determination, resolve, and self-confidence. The very spirit of readiness to confront a power like America and its rabid dog — the Zionist regime — is immensely valuable.” The Leader of the Islamic Revolution stressed that both friends and foes must realize that the Iranian nation will never enter any arena as the weaker side. He continued: “We possess all the necessary tools — reasoning, and military capability alike. Therefore, whether in the field of diplomacy or the battlefield, whenever we step in, by God’s grace, we will enter with strength.”

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution stressed that both friends and foes must realize that the Iranian nation will never enter any arena as the weaker side. He continued: “We possess all the necessary tools — reasoning, and military capability alike. Therefore, both in the field of diplomacy and the battlefield, whenever we step in, by God’s grace, we will enter with strength.” He added: “Though we deem the Zionist regime a cancer and the US a criminal for backing it, we did not seek war. However, whenever the enemy attacked, our response was firm and crushing.” Imam Khamenei cited the Zionist regime’s appeal to the United States as clear evidence of the strength of Iran’s retaliatory blow. He said: “If the Zionist regime had not been brought to its knees, if it were capable of defending itself, it wouldn’t have run to the US for help. But it realized it could not stand against the Islamic Republic.”

Regarding Iran’s reciprocal strike against American aggression, the Leader described it as “a highly sensitive and strategic blow.” He noted: “The target hit by Iran was one of America’s most critical centers in the region. When the media blackout is lifted, it will become evident what a heavy blow was struck. And indeed, an even greater blow could be delivered — against the US or others.” 

Highlighting the emergence of a national phenomenon during the recent war, Imam Khamenei said this presence foiled the enemy’s plans. He explained: “The aggressors assumed that by targeting certain key individuals and centers in Iran, they would weaken the system. They planned to then unleash their dormant proxies — from hypocrites and monarchists to thugs — stirring unrest and dragging people into the streets to overthrow the Islamic system.” He continued: “In reality, the opposite of the enemy’s design unfolded. It became evident that many of the assumptions of some individuals in political fields and the like were also incorrect.” 

The Leader emphasized that the mask had fallen from the face of the aggressor, and their hidden goals were exposed to the public. He said: “God nullified their plots and drew the people into the field in support of the government and the Islamic system. Contrary to the enemy’s expectations, they provided both financial and life support to the system.”

He considered the unity formed by individuals of varying religious influence and even opposing political leanings as a “tremendous national cohesion,” emphasizing the necessity of preserving this profound unity. The Leader of the Islamic Revoloution called on officials to continue their work with full vigor and spirit. Quoting the Quranic verse “Allah will surely help those who help Him,” he said: “All should know: God has guaranteed His support for the Iranian nation under the Islamic system and under the banner of the Quran and Islam. This nation will, without doubt, be victorious.”

In the latter part of his speech, the Leader underscored the necessity of legal action regarding the war crimes committed by the Zionist regime during the recent conflict. He stated: “The Judiciary must pursue the recent crimes seriously, with precision, and full awareness through both international and domestic courts, taking all aspects into account.”

At the beginning of the meeting, Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Mohseni Ejei, Head of the Judiciary, presented a report on the Judiciary’s recent performance.

In response to a letter from Ayatollah Jannati, the Secretary of the Guardian Council, which noted the upcoming expiration of the membership terms for Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Ahmad Khatami, Hujjat al-Islam Sheikh Alireza A’rafi, and Haj Sayyid Ahmad Hosseini Khorasani on July 16, the Leader wrote: 
“I send my greetings and regards, and I hereby reappoint the aforementioned honorable gentlemen to serve again as jurist members of the Guardian Council.”

The Guardian Council is a 12-member body tasked with vetting legislation and election candidates. According to Article 91 of the Constitution, six jurist members of the Guardian Council are appointed by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution. Article 110 also grants the Leader the authority to appoint and dismiss these jurists. The other six members of the Guardian Council, who are legal experts, are selected by the Iranian Parliament from nominees introduced by the Head of the Judiciary.

During the recent 12-day war imposed by the Zionist regime, the account’s follower count more than tripled, and several posts received tens of thousands of views.

The page regularly featured the statements, activities, and news of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khamenei, and operated in full accordance with the platform’s guidelines. Despite this, X has yet to offer any official explanation for the suspension of the account.

Khamenei.ir maintains numerous accounts in various languages on X—including English, Arabic, French, Turkish, German, Indonesian, Hindi, Urdu, Russian, and others—in order to reach the vast international audience of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.

The experts from Imam Khamenei’s Office for Sighting the New Moon announced the sighting of the new moon at sunset on Wednesday, June 25, for the month of Muharram in Iran was not possible. Thus, Friday, June 27 is the first day of the month of Muharram, 1447 AH.

On this occasion and in accordance with Clause 11 of Article 110 of the Constitution, Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Mohseni Ejei, requested permission from the Leader to pardon, reduce, or converts the sentences of 1,705 convicted individuals who had been convicted in the Public and Revolutionary Courts, the Judicial Organization of the Armed Forces, or the Governmental Discretionary Punishment Organization.

In light of your meritorious services and valuable experience, and in view of the glorious, honorable martyrdom of Lieutenant General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri at the hands of the evil Zionist regime, I appoint you as the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces.

While turning to God and putting our hope in His grace, that which is expected is Revolutionary action in bringing about the necessary advancements in the capabilities and security defense preparedness of the Armed Forces and popular Basij Forces, in addition to the ability to respond promptly and effectively to any level and any type of threats directed at the system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

On the eve of the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Ghadir Khumm, I ask the Beneficent God to grant this devoted, sincere martyr the highest rank and position, and to place him alongside those closest to God, especially the Master of the Monotheists, the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (pbuh).
I ask Almighty God to grant continued success to everyone.
